How are you celebrating Black History Month ?

In previous years Things They Love has donated to various organizations that support Black Folks in and out of Riverside, this year we will be donating 10% of our sales to Mutual Aid Funds supporting Black Folks impacted by the Eaton Fires.

Join us in this celebration by shopping Black, uplifting Black voices, donating to Black causes, supporting Black artist, and most importantly; teaching your children about Black History.

✨Does your play room need a declutter and refresh?✨

As promised here are the details on how to work with me:

⏰ You can click the Calendy link in my bio, and book me for a playroom consultation. This includes a holistic look at your play area, toys, and approach to play!

I am available Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm for 1-2 hour sessions at $50/hr, this session is geared to understanding your families needs, and current outlook of play!

📅 Booking me as a consultant will also include access to a discount on any toys purchased in that session, as well as, an abundance of knowledge regarding toys, development, and play!

Sometimes toy shopping can feel confusing and overwhelming, and I am here to help take the stress out of creating a space for your child(ren) to explore and play in!

Welcome to Things They Love, a curated toy shop inside of the sustainable micro mall The Raincross District. Nestled in the heart of downtown you can find a nice variety of kids toys and baby products, geared to ignite the child’s imagination.

Owned and operated by a local mother of two, Things They Love was founded here in Riverside almost five years ago out of necessity for educational toys and like minded community, one grounded in play, learning, love, and liberation.

Though things may look different, the mission still remains.

Thank you for stopping in and exploring our space. We love you and we hope we can continue to serve our communities toy needs.

Good Morning ☀️ we need your help! I am seeking volunteers to assist in the following:

TUESDAY:

Packing and itemizing donations from the shop
Breaking Down Shelves
Moving Play furniture
Loading a U-Haul or other large vehicle
Childcare if we continue after 5pm

Wednesday:
Seeking potentially 1 person who can meet me in Los Angeles by 10:30am for load in and remain for the day for the event and load out at 8pm.

Ideally we aren’t having to bring back much except shelves after the event, but in the event that we do I will need help with that too!

Still seeking a large moving truck type vehicle or large van that can fit shelves.

Thank you to all who have contributed to this process.

Community is a source of love and support we all are worthy of. Thank you for being in mine and for helping other communities around us.

Dear Things They Love Community,

The time has finally come for us to say goodbye to Things They Love as we all have known, and time to witness its transition into being a small toy shop inside the beautiful sustainable micro mall .

We had hoped to keep aspects of Things They Love going but it is simply unsustainable to keep the play area, especially when many who utilize it are not respectful and or supportive of the business.

We would like to give our customers one last opportunity to shops the stock we have before it is gone.

You can shop our current stock online or in store, for one last time until 1/22/25. If you are interested in supporting the families we are already working with, you can buy purchasing a donation from for 25 % off by using “Donation” at check out and choosing In-Store Pick Up.

Otherwise, the shop will remain at full price to minimize loss and maintain the value of the brands we worked so hard to acquire and that we value very much.

Thank you everyone who has supported us over the last 5 years. We are excited to maintain your favorite brands in the space while removing the weight of maintaining a 1000 sq Ft space.

Thankfully, this isn’t goodbye and we will still find ways to have community, because it is still very much a part of my mission, I just need some space to truly breathe and pause.

🌈 Our shelves are full of wonderful heirloom quality wooden toys, that families and child development centers in LA will benefit greatly from.

⭐️I have already started the donation pile in the shop stop by and add to it!

💕We will accept gently used toys, and clothes as well! No donation is too small.

In store only 12/28 - 1/4 the entire store will be on sale for the exception of consignment products.

For the time being this sale is in person only. Please help me get a fresh start so I can continue to be a part of the Riverside community!

We have so many beautiful toys from baby dolls, to marble trees, ball runs, wooden animals, art and stem toys, and so much more!

We have many customers that visit us year after year and tell us how much their children have loved the toys they have purchased them at our shop.

2024 has been very hard on us. We are still very much at risk of shutting down if we don’t see an uptick in sales!

I’ll be at the shop this weekend and would love to see the community come out and do what they can to buy a gift here from us!

We have not been able to recover from the last sale yet but have plenty of great educational d developmentally appropriate toys for kids 0-9 years old!

Recently added some collector Transformers and Funko Pop thanks to the great !

Visit us today during open play 6:30pm-7:30pm or Saturday during Coffee and Crumb at 10am - 11 am!
