My first turkey taken at Land Between the Lakes in 1983. Many years and turkeys later my turkey I took in Ohio county kentucky in 2023. I've had many a great moments in my turkey hunting experiences. I've made many friends and wonderful hunts from Texas to Colorado Mississippi Alabama,Missouri, Tennessee and many more states. Turkey hunting never gets old.

That little .410 is a shooter with Rouge #9 Tungsten shot. It was definitely an improvement over the Federal #9 Tungsten (which was still pretty good with 30some shot in head and neck. Gun was a Steven's. 410 with factory turkey choke. I'm happy to be packing a 3 1/2 pound gun instead of a 10 pound gun.

Got my first turkey with .410. First time I spring hunted in 3 years. Guess the old Critter Getter still got it ! !

Remember the good ole camo truck?? I was one of the first around here to wrap complete truck. When I sold her she had over 300,000 miles. Lots of shows and hunting trips did she make.
