Thank you to City of Kent Government Dana Ralph, Kent Mayor, Michelle Wilmot and William Ellis for visiting our Washington Shoe Company office this week! Kent has been home to Washington Shoe Company for the past 20 years. We enjoyed hearing Kent’s economic development plans and sharing what’s on Washington Shoe Company's horizon. We were thrilled to show off our ever-growing team of 70+ employees, our unique office space and our 131-year old family-owned-and-operated company history.

It was truly magical returning to the MAGIC tradeshow in Las Vegas, we even got a ‘90s trade show treat, Salt N Pepa performed! Thanks Cheryl "Salt" James and Sandra "Pepa" Denton for reminding us to ‘push it, push it real good’ 😊

Washington Shoe represented all 3 of our brands, Western Chief, Chooka, and Staheekum, even showcasing a few of our newest collaborations and products! What a great show, meeting new customers and spending time with familiar faces!

Our "Make Tomorrow Better" committee (Mark Moehring, Sarah Fowler, Jamel Williams, Jay Sakurai, and Erin Kelly) organized a donation for Millennium Elementary School here in Kent to receive 133 pairs of kids underwear and 8 pairs of sweat pants for the kids. Thank you to our Washington Shoe employees who donated.

Each month the committee organizes a new organization to support and deliver smiles.

At Washington Shoe this we're especially thankful to all our employees for navigating the unwavering retail environment of the past 18 months. Our 130 year family footprint in the retail industry continues to evolve and flourish because of our hardworking, dedicated and passionate WSC team.

Our office and warehouse will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6.

Our dedicated President of the Wear A Big Smile Foundation, Mark Moehring loaded up his car and donated 70 pairs of boots for the first time to a Compass Housing Alliance facility in Kenmore, WA. Happy to have delivered boots to people in need and look forward to doing it again soon.

We donated roughly 500 single boots to Kent Parks, Recreation & Community Services that were used for boot planter events around the city. Great to see these Western Chief boots getting a second life and all the smiles on everyone's faces.🌻😀
