Even on vacation I’m looking for cool and different woods for knife handles. Supporting other small businesses as well. Some very cool handles on the way. Have to wait for these to be shipped home, then processed.

In addition to cutting out a bunch of knives, I also drilled the tangs on another batch. These have been sitting next to the drill press for awhile. Decided today was a good day to move them along.

There is a new design in this group. This year we are introducing a “steak knife” pattern.

When you like the knife, but not the factory sheath, custom work can be done.
This knife came to me for that very reason. Customer felt the factory sheath was lacking, so they ordered a custom one. Think it turned out pretty good, plus no retention strap to get in the way.

Finished this new addition yesterday as well. It’s a customer requested mash up of a clip point Talon blade with the handle of a Bush knife. Calling this one the “Pig Sticker”, since his plan is to use it while pig hunting.
Thinking this pattern may need to go in the rotation!

So it’s been a while since I posted, lots of crazy life stuff going on. Nothing bad, just life getting the best of the weekends. Still getting things done in the shop.
Yesterday put the finishing touches on several knives that I’ve been working on.
