At Wilkinson, we believe culture is one of our most important investments. That's why we have a volunteer Team Building Committee dedicated to creating opportunities for connection and engagement. It's also why we hold regular "Wilkin-Sync" sessions, where employees from every department take 15 minutes to step away from their work and simply connect with one another.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our Summer Kickoff Brunch with an incredible group of designers, and it was a wonderful reminder of why the design community is so important to us.

We had a great time supporting the Durham Civitan Club at the Norman J. Whitaker Memorial Golf Tournament this week. Some of our folks from Carrboro, Durham, and Raleigh hit the course to represent Wilkinson and enjoy a little friendly competition for a great cause. ⛳️

We’re proud to support organizations like Civitan that work year-round to improve the lives of people in our communities through charitable programs and local outreach. Events like this are a reminder that giving back and building relationships can be just as rewarding as a good day on the golf course.

Thanks to the Durham Civitan Club for hosting such a meaningful event and for everything you do for the Durham community.

Designer Doorware is one of those brands that understands hardware isn’t just functional, it’s part of the architecture itself.

It’s often overlooked in a project, but when used intentionally, hardware can completely shape how a space feels. The right piece adds warmth, contrast, texture, and tactility in a way most people don’t immediately notice, but definitely experience.

The oversized Niki K**b against the timber pivot door is a perfect example. It turns a minimal entry into a statement without overpowering the architecture. The same goes for the brass cabinetry pulls and textured finishes throughout these spaces. They bring depth and refinement to otherwise restrained interiors.

This week, Wilkinson held our first-ever Sales Summit, and it was an incredible opportunity to come together as one team with one shared purpose: elevating the experience for both our team members and our customers.

Throughout the summit, we focused on growth, collaboration, and the power of strong relationships. We were honored to welcome dynamic and nationally respected speaker Justin Jones-Fosu, whose message challenged and inspired us to lead with intention, connection, and purpose.

Our team also heard valuable insights from our marketing leader, along with an impactful presentation from Carrboro Branch Manager Michael Tuck. Durham Branch Manager Jason Waldeck led an engaging negotiation workshop that encouraged practical learning, teamwork, and new ways to better serve our customers every day.

Most importantly, the summit reinforced what makes Wilkinson special: our culture. Bringing team members together from across our organization created energy, collaboration, and a renewed commitment to supporting one another while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This was more than just a meeting. It was a celebration of who we are, where we are going, and the shared commitment that continues to make Wilkinson stronger together.
