It is with tremendous sadness that the Thomsen family announces the passing of their beloved Papa and GrandPapa, Kurt O. Thomsen, on November 10th. He passed away peacefully after an illness, surrounded by his family.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal service. The Thomsen family will host an open house in the near future to celebrate Kurt’s life. He wouldn’t want sadness at his passing; he would want you to hold your family a little closer. He would love you to pick up a good adventure story set on the high seas, sit for a while by his beloved Lake Michigan and share tales of your wild adventures together. And when the day winds down, put on a classic John Wayne movie, the kind he loved.
