SNAGGING is illegal on the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY and it's BIG $$$ for the State of New York to enforce this law. People come from ALL over the world to BIG GAME FISH here and it's all perspective to the ECO's (Environmental Co

nservation Officers). While our "Snagger" gear is meant to be FUN, you need to be careful when fishing on the Salmon River NY because you never know if a Game Warden is watching you! "Salmon Fever" is for real and this is what causes people to "intentionally" snag fish. It's best to avoid PUBLIC fishing holes and take a walk up or downstream. Avoid the weekends in Sept. & Oct. and fish during the weekdays. You'll be glad you took that day off work and spent the day fishing the Salmon River NY!
