The last order of the season got delivered. It has been a year of so many first’s and the beauty that came out of my dream for our farm has been fulfilling. As the tulips are planted and the dahlias are dug up, I am very grateful for this first growing season and the support of so many. I’m excited to see what next year will bring.

I’ve been trialing a few tricky flowers to see how they dry to use this fall and winter. I dried a few different ball and pompon dahlias and I like the result. Seeing them side by side it’s hard to see the beauty in the dried dahlias, with other dried flowers they are so pretty. Next spring I’ll give peony a try. Have you ever dried a dahlia?

The loss of a child is the hardest experience a parent goes through.
Our hearts go out to one of the carpenters working here on the farm. He lost his daughter today to a long battle with addiction.
Our family knows all too well the pain and loss, we lost a son to fentanyl a few years ago.
As you move through your day, please remember to be compassionate to others. So many of us are quietly moving through grief and we all need a little more kindness in our daily interactions with others. 🩷
