Joey is 18 years old, and now, somehow, she finds herself in a shelter.

It’s hard to imagine, especially because she is so easy to love.

Joey is incredibly affectionate and absolutely adores people. She has the sweetest little meow that she uses to greet everyone she meets, and she is happiest when she has someone nearby to give her attention.

She is a super senior and with that comes some senior needs. Our veterinary team found thickening in her ear canal and a mass at the base. There is inflammation and skin cells present, which could simply be from chronic inflammation, though we cannot rule out an underlying cancerous process.

We don't know exactly how much time Joey has left, but we do know she deserves to spend it somewhere that feels like home.

She deserves a soft bed. A quiet place to rest. Someone who will happily listen to that wonderful meow every morning. Someone who will love her not despite her age and medical needs, but because she is Joey.

After 18 years, she deserves to know what it feels like to be home again.
