and Treasurer of each of the Calvert Funds by day. Ron has been employed with Calvert since 1979. For years now, Ron has been deeply involved with local arts, beginning with a stint in college working for the Indiana University School of Music Musical Arts Center (MAC), where he discovered an appreciation for opera and the sculpture of Alexander Calder, whose Peau Rouge Indiana enhances the entran
ce to the MAC. In more recent years, Ron began attending a variety of theatrical performances throughout the D.C.-metro area, and became involved in the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC), the local arts agency whose mission is to promote, support, and expand a vibrant arts and humanities presence woven into the fabric of our diverse and inclusive community. Ron later served as President of the Board of Directors for AHCMC. Always prepared for a new project, and having surrounding himself with artists, it was a natural step to become a true artist; and what an artist he has become! Ron’s meteoric rise in handmade jewelry has been a surprise to even his closest friends and family. He truly has an eye for design and pays close attention to quality beading and accent pieces to define a style that is all his own. Ron is husband to Janet for nearly 35 years now, and father of Chad and Jacob. He lives with Janet and his beads in Potomac, MD.
