🌸 We’re at the midpoint of hydrangea season! 🌸
If you’re growing newer reblooming varieties, like the Endless Summer® series, there’s still plenty of color to come. These hydrangeas are setting a second flush of flower buds, which means beautiful, fresh blooms later into the season.
Right now, you may notice some of those first blooms looking a little tired and spent. Let’s clean those up and show off the fresher, brighter blooms that are on their way! ✂️
When pruning out an old flower, be careful to protect the next flower bud developing farther down on that same stem. Follow the stem down past two additional sets of leaves, and make your cut below the second set of leaves but above the new growth.
A little cleanup now can help keep your hydrangea looking fresh while making room for the next round of blooms! 🌿✨
