We will be open Friday January 30th. We support businesses and people participating in the general strike. About 1/4 of our weekly salsa are on Fridays so being closed has significant financial impacts for us.

Boycotting the brands financing ICE can have big impacts. These include AT&T, Dell, Amazon, Home Depot, UPS, and Fed Ex some of whom have contracts up for renewal soon.

You canโ€™t strike tomorrow and resume normal activity the next day and expect change. If you strike tomorrow please use it as an opportunity. Attend a rally or volunteer your time.

Support your local immigrant rights organizations. In Portland and . We will donate a portion of our sales from this week to each org. Support mutual aid groups that are helping at risk families .pdx . Show up for your neighbors and stay in community.

Hope yโ€™all are shopping small this weekend and staying away from corporate sales and purchases! I saw say small business every day not just small business Saturday and it rings so true. I hope everyone is showing up for small businesses even when we donโ€™t run sales or have to ask for support. Our communities thrive by supporting each other ๐Ÿ’ซ

Thanksgiving is not a day to celebrate. This so called holiday is a celebration of a massacre that perpetuated centuries of genocide against Indigenous people. There are many actions one could take today including this one. The Chinook Indian Nation had their federal U.S. Government recognition reversed 20 years ago and since then the government has ignored attempts to right this wrong. Congress has failed to schedule a single hearing to reinstate recognition or to grant the Bureau of Indian Affairs authority to restore recognition. The time for the U.S. government to act is now. Recognize the sovereignty of the Chinook Nation!
