Five years of business, five (anecdotal) lessons I’ve learned from the experience.

Dana Altman is an Oregon Legend, through and through. Today, Coach announced his retirement after 16 seasons. He’s going out with more wins under his belt than anybody in Ducks history. I’m glad for his time in Eugene, and honored he allowed me to draw a representation of him for the Oregon Legends gift packaging we did for Oregon Ducks in 2025. Here’s to Mighty Oregon, and what’s next 🦆🟢🟡

It’s been 20 years to the day since I stepped onto campus at University of Oregon, and since then it feels like I’ve lived several different lifetimes. What’s been constant these past two decades is someone I met my first day living at Parsons Hall: my best friend, Kylan.

We’ve gone to countless Ducks games together, been roommates, gone camping, fishing, played pickup basketball (he’s going to Eurostep you, don’t fall for it), and gone through all of life’s changes through adulthood. I’ve watched him get married, become a father, give me two incredible godsons, and start Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy, a non-profit serving differently abled children as a pediatric speech therapist alongside his wife, Kayla.

It all started with our time together at Oregon, and getting to work with the university on projects for Matchstick is special not just because I’m an alum, but because it reminds me how lucky I am to have chanced into a lifelong friend because of it.

He’s gonna hate a post like this, but too bad. At least I didn’t post the photo of you dressed as Soulja Boy for Halloween. Here’s to The Troof! And the decades to come.

Hey guess what!
