Last of the East End Press Ornaments!

Day 2 · Evergreens in the Cairngorms
A little love letter to the strengths that stay green in midwinter.

These colors are dyed for the Cairngorm forests in deep winter; the rich earth, dark evergreen boughs, and olive shadows dusted with glittering frost, like faint music in the branches. Highland stories imagine these woods as sanctuaries watched over by unseen folk who protect the herds and sing on the winter wind. Evergreens like Scots pine and juniper have long been carried into homes as signs of protection, healing, and resilience…what stays alive when everything else lies bare. This blend is a reminder that you have your own ‘evergreens’ too: quiet strengths, steady people, and small rituals that hold you through harder seasons.

Day 1 · A Winter Sunrise
A small ritual for the first light after the longest night.

Today’s colors are selected to reflect that first winter dawn over Calanais…the soft pinks, pale golds, and violet shadows that appear when the sky finally wakes again. In Scottish tradition, this first sunrise marked hope and a new chapter, greeted at the stone circles with songs, quiet footsteps, and wishes for the year ahead. Folklore says early risers might even catch a glimpse of the fae weaving light into the frost. This little bundle is a way to pause with that moment: a reminder that change usually begins gently, like the sky brightening by degrees rather than all at once.
