We fell in love with so many stories during our time, but our greatest love was the story we wrote with our community: how we came together in times of joy and grief, how we celebrated the vibrancy of our cultures, how we shared truths about ourselves. How we protected each other and held each other and lifted up the stories that spoke to our humanity. We have loved getting to know you, watching your families grow and grow up, and becoming part of Greenfield.
In the end, we accomplished what we set out to do, but only for a shorter time than anticipated. All’s well that ends well. The way you’ve rallied around us since we announced we were closing has been nothing short of miraculous and we are endlessly grateful for your support. Thank you for the hugs, the cards, and the well-wishes. While our physical location is closing, I’m sure this isn’t the last you’ve seen of Stories Like Me. At the very least, but also perhaps with the greatest impact of all, Stories Like Me lives in your bookshelves, in the stories that we’ve shared and fallen in love with - together.
