✨Thank you to all who supported our February heart month fundraiser ❤️💙 We raised $190 for cardiac research for kids with congenital heart diseases.. 🫶🌹🙏

This was the first year we did a fundraiser through my business bc I wanted to wait until Michael was old enough. I asked him if I should start a fundraiser specifically for cardiac research and he said yes, bc he loves to share his story ☺️ And he is grateful for the kind, caring people he has met along the way. He said THEY keep him strong every time he is picked on or feeling left out 😢 (He’s already learned the lesson that some people make fun of what they don’t understand.)

So, a big THANK YOU to all who supported this fundraiser. It meant the world to us, especially Michael Bailey🙏 💜

Last week, heaven gained the most precious angel, our friend, Lisa… Lisa has been intertwined with our family since she was in kindergarten, but most recently she became a friend through church and one of Michael’s biggest supporters.. She was the one who called him a hero from the beginning, and she prayed for him, worried about him, was always the first person to reach out whenever he had any procedure or appointment… Lisa’s love and prayers were bountiful, and we at Michael’s Hearty Heroes would like to extend our deepest condolences to her family and close friends during this sad time… Please know that Michael sees Lisa as a real life angel that he got to know here on earth… And he is now reciprocating all she gave to him while she was here by praying for all of you… Fly high, Lisa… 😇🩷🌹

Oo, just realized we didn’t tell everybody that Michael is home 😊 Overall, he’s doing “okay” (his words) i think he’s doing great! He still has some irritation from the breathing tube yesterday, but we’re keeping an eye on it and hoping it subsides on its own… We are still waiting to hear about his results, timeframe, plan, etc.. but he handled this speed bump very well. Thank you for all the fun texts, videos, encouraging messages, prayers, FaceTimes, love, treats, etc for Michael.. you made him feel like he had a little posse behind him 🤗🙏✨💪💜

Update: Michael is out of the OR, awake & doing well… he was already extubated, which is great 👍🏼 his throat hurts from the breathing tube during the procedure.. he’s a bit dizzy from all the anesthesia but everybody says he’s a rock star🤘 we should know the results in 3-5 days… thank you ALL so much for supporting Michael with love, prayers, and good vibes.. words can’t express how much that helps him on days like these 🙏🫶🏻🌹

They just took Michael back to the OR… they let Tara & Jason go back with him and hold his hand until he fell asleep.. the doctors said it should be about 2 hours 🙏🫶🏻🌹
