Emmy and Ava met when they were just 4 years old at the Lucky Fin Project weekend! They became instant friends. 10 years later, they’re still left-handed besties and share the very special bond of being Fin-Twins! So grateful for both of these beautiful girls! 🧡 Sara Gallo Wilson

Emmy Graduates Middle School!
Our girl crushed it! 🎉 Winning multiple awards which include Superior Academic Achievement, Presidential Award for Educational Excellence, Dr Michele Darden Award for Excellence in Written Expression, Coaches Award for Volleyball, National Junior Honor Society, and Achievement Awards in Vocal Music, Social Studies, English, Science, and Citizenship! Wow !!!! This girl can do anything!!! Bring on high school! 💪🏻 Lucky Fin Project Wish I knew then, what I know now ❤️

We had a great experience at Life Turning Point Philadelphia, a women's and children's shelter. Syieda Logan and I spent quality time with the mothers, discussing the importance and methods of reading to children while Emmy provided childcare. We concluded the evening by donating a copy of Emmy's Amazing Hand to each family. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to share our story with such special people! ❤️

These two share a special bond! They are hand-twins! We met Lane, who is from Louisiana, when he was just a baby! He and his family came to Philly. We were able to meet them over cheesesteaks! They took a tour of the “Linc” and that little baby became an instant Birds fan! He is so grown up now! We couldn’t resist sending him some Eagles gear. And how awesome is it that they sent us a traditional King Cake straight from a bakery in New Orleans?!?!We feel like we are at the Super Bowl! Let’s Go Birds! We live 4 miles away from this tragedy. We’re grieving along with all of our friends from Shriners Children’s Philadelphia 💔

Shriners Children’s is heartbroken to confirm that one of our pediatric patients and the child’s mother were aboard the Jet Rescue Air Ambulance that crashed in Philadelphia last night.

The patient had received care from Shriners Children’s Philadelphia and was being transported back to her home country in Mexico on a contracted air ambulance when the crash happened. Because of patient privacy concerns, we cannot say any more about the patient and her family at this time.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the medical crew and pilots who were also lost in this tragic event - as well as all of the people who were affected on the ground - and we’re thankful to the first responders for their quick action.
