Monday, 8-31-21

Today Bobo and I were fishing another trip with Ryan Huneycutt, along with his daughter Marisa Poplin and her son Hayden all from Richfield,NC. It was a struggle to find biting fish for me today but I stayed on thr move and picked up the puzzle pieces a few at each stop until we put it all together.
Hayden, at only 6 years old was quite the fisherman today. He basically caught all the fish today including Red Drum, Black Drum, Flounder, and some nice sized croakers on his new spinning Rod and reel that Barbara and I purchased for him to use and keep after his fishing trip on the backwater bay boat today.
We had 2 Red Drum in the cooler and needed Just 1 more to get today's limit. Well, yoi would know it, we hooked him up right at the time we had to head back to the marina. Ryan fought him diligently on the very lite tackle we were using to catch croakers with. Almost got him to the net at boatside but made one more run and on this run the hook just pulled free. What's the saying, "some days you get the bear, and some days the bear gets you" or maybe I should say "Fish" instead.
Good to see you again Ryan and to meet more of your family. It was another good day on the water sharing our love of fishing with great folks from Richfield, NC. Till next time thanks for stopping by and God Bless you all!!!!
