Have you bought those mini trees from the Dollar Tree and become disappointed after setting it up? Well here is a way to improve it just a smidge.

SUPPLIES:
- Four DT Mini Xmas Trees
- One Tin Pail
- One Floral Foam Block
- Three or Four GREEN Zip Ties
- Glue, hot glue or E6000 (optional)
- Decorations

DIRECTIONS:
1. Start with four mini tree.
2. Remove & discard (or save for another project) plastic ends from all four trees.
3. Straighten all branches to untangle.
4. Fold all branches to one side.
5. Stack trees, 2 on each side.
6. Zip tie in 3 or 4 places. One above top branches, one above bottom branches and 1 or 2 places in the center.
7. Trace around the pail bottom onto the floral foam. Cut down removing each corner. Place in pail and use cut pieces to wedge in spaces to help stabilize.
8. Push ends of trees into foam. Glue if desired.
9. Arrange branches to bring out fluffy fullness.
10. Decorate to your liking. I used toy animals & laser cut animals from Dollar Tree and a Xmas clip from Walmart.

I use these cookie cutters(pic 1)to make custom "ceramic" ornaments out of homemade salt dough. I am also currently working to perfect my hand at using cold porcelain dough for a smoother finish. The other pics are some examples of the previously completed(2-7)& in progress(8-9)ornaments.
