They opened Lassen last week and we wasted no time. Drove through yesterday.. Snow started coming down on us from the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center up to the Lassen Peak trailhead. It was one of those moments where you just go quiet and take it in.

Then we took 89 all the way up to Shasta after up to Bunny Flat. Always one of our favorite stretches of road. Northern California really does not miss.

We haven’t seen Lane that happy in a while. Watching him light up out there and just… hum. No agenda, no fuss. Just a little boy completely at peace in the mountains. It filled our cups up ♥️ Good way to end the “school year.” Although we never stop learning or exploring.

I love these spring thunderstorms in Northern California. One minute it’s pouring rain, the next the whole mountain is glowing.

Highway 89 through Lassen Volcanic National Park is open! Many trails at higher elevations are still snow-covered and the Bumpass Hell Trail remains closed. Prepare for winter conditions if you plan to hike. https://www.nps.gov/lavo/planyourvisit/hours.htm

Always appreciate businesses that support local and take care of their people. Glende Polaris Yamaha in Chico has been one of our best customers for years, but beyond that, they’ve just been solid people to work with. They helped get me into my RZR a few years back, have done work on Joey’s machine, and have always taken the time to answer our questions and help us out. Proud to support the people who support us back. Might be upgrade time again soon 🤩
