PSA! Always trust your gut. Went on a new hike today at the Sabal Point Sanctuary trail. Hoping to find some cones, but quickly realized pines were not the dominant species here. It was definitely pretty, but man..with all the reports of gator attacks lately, my Floridian ass couldn’t help but feel the possibility of gators lurking in the swamp around me. It has been raining a lot and the further I stepped into this forest, the more spots I could see where a gator could be hanging out. So..I decided to run, not walk, outa there cuz I could just sense danger. When your body is screaming alarms, just listen! Awareness is everything. Be safe out there, fellow adventurers!
