Some say if you call our name three times, your food scraps disappear. 👻
Turns out you just need to set out your bin. We’ll handle the vanishing act.

Give a friend a treat this Halloween: refer them to give $10, get $10. 🎃

Forget the pot of gold. We’ll take the pot of black gold. 🌈

Those are your food scraps, turned into finished compost: the real treasure at the end of our rainbow. Happy Monday 🌱

Spotted in the neighborhood: someone who takes composting very seriously. 💀🌱

Spooky season is here, and the scariest thing on the block is how much food waste ends up in the landfill. Pumpkin guts, candy corn casualties, all those fall cooking scraps - compost it. Set your bin out, and we’ll take care of the rest. No tricks. 🎃

We’re hiring in Asheville! 🌱

We're looking for an Operations Associate to join our team. If you want to start your day with purpose (and be done by early afternoon), this one’s for you.

The work is active and hands-on, and every shift keeps food scraps out of the landfill and headed back to the soil. If you like staying busy, working with a tight-knit team, and doing something that matters for the community - come join us!

Composting at the office is easier than you think - just ask Self-Help Credit Union in downtown Durham. 🌱

Since they started composting with us, Self-Help has diverted over 6,700 lbs of food scraps from the landfill. Coffee grounds, lunch leftovers, paper towels, all of it turned into compost for local soil.

Want your workplace to make that kind of impact? We make it simple to set up and easy to use so your team barely has to think about it 👉 compostnow.org/services/for-your-business

This is what your food scraps look like on the other side. 🌱

We're screening compost at Southern Soil Works right now in prep for a busy spring season. We're halfway through our second stockpile, with about 1,700 cubic yards processed so far and thousands more to go.

All of it started as food scraps. All of it is headed back to the soil. 💚

Back-to-school season has a way of surfacing stuff that's been quietly piling up: dead AAA batteries from a calculator, plastic film from new binders, broken headphones from last spring.

While you can't recycle these items in most curbside recycling programs, our Hard-to-Recycle Program makes it easy for you to responsibly recycle these items. ♻

Our members get free pickup on their compost collection day. Buy the bags you need, fill 'em up, and we'll handle the rest!
