She started by feeding people. And if you know Raquel, that tracks completely because everything she does is an act of love.
I got to know Raquel through the flowers. The many many bouquets she has sent over the years, to so many people, for so many reasons. You feel her in the cards she writes. In the thoughtfulness behind every single one. She is always thinking of others, always asking herself how she can make someone feel good, feel seen, feel remembered.
What she has built over time goes so much deeper than any dish or any delivery. She shows up for people. She makes you feel like you are her favorite person in the room and somehow she manages to make everyone feel that way at once. Her positivity is not performed. It is hard won, lived through, earned in the ways that only real experience can teach you.
And now she is turning all of that toward the next generation. Guiding, mentoring, bringing spirituality into the conversation with the same warmth she brings to everything else.
Whether through or her newest project , this is a woman who has always known that the greatest thing you can give someone is the feeling that they matter.
