Happy Friday everyone! We will not be at the Moore Farm Market this Saturday or next Saturday while we take a short break to visit family out of state! We will return to the market on July 25th!

I am so appreciative of everyone who comes out every week to support us and the other vendors! It means so much that I’ve been able to do the things I love so much and share it with the community!

Such a great morning so far! We are nearly sold out once again!

Don’t forget you can always message me anytime during the week to reserve your favorites for market pick up so you can sleep in and not miss out on anything!

So excited to see you all at the Moore Farm Market this Saturday for Independence Day!

I have been so grateful for how much support you have shown me these last few weeks! I’m excited to share that we will be bringing a few new things to the market this weekend and a brand new sourdough flavor!

Fresh canned tomato sauce 🥫
S’mores Sourdough 🍫
Sourdough sandwich loaves 🍞

Testing a classic ‘no-till’ method of preparing a garden bed with a few modifications for aggressive Bermuda grass. This is a medium effort test. Soon I will be testing a more high effort approach on a new garden bed. For now though, I’m curious to see how this goes. I’m putting it to the test.

For this experiment, I layered:
• Compost
• Cardboard
• Wood mulch

Normally I would have mowed the Bermuda as short as possible before covering it… but I forgot. 🤦‍♀️ We’ll see how much that affects the results.

I’m also intentionally testing this in an area where I’m not worried about Bermuda creeping into my production beds if it fails. That’s the perfect place to experiment before trying a new method on a larger scale.

My goal is to find an effective, plastic-free way to smother Bermuda grass. Will it work? Time will tell, and I’ll be sharing the results—good or bad.
