I have to be honest, I really miss this girl.
This girl? She had a light that shined bright. She would laugh and make others laugh, she would smile and make others smile, she would be goofy, playful, bold.
We’re always told to chase after our dreams, but I never thought in doing so I would lose one of the most important things to me. My light.
I don’t smile anymore, I don’t laugh, I’m not goofy or silly or playful.
I never saw it coming, that working hard, giving everything you got, fighting for what you want would change you, harden you, and if you’re not careful strip you of everything you have.
I don’t care what you choose your beliefs to be...for me, I full wholeheartedly believe there is so much more to this world than ourselves, and what we can see, feel, touch.
This year, I feel as if the world, the universe, has been sending me messages. Guiding me and encouraging me to find my light again.
Life and business has broken me down to pieces, leading me to stop what I’m doing and how I’ve been living and to change.
Change my life to find myself again, find my light.
One thing I do know, is like a toxic boyfriend you can’t heal through what broke you in the first place.
I’ve been trying to learn the hard lesson of the over preached “work / life balance.”
I’ve been trying to understand what my boundaries are and creating more space away from my business and my shop. I’ve been finding my baby steps to take care of myself whether that’s making more time for my other relationships, other than my relationship with my work, like friends and family, or cultivating the passion within me to take on a passion project.
I love my business, I love my shop. My dreams haven’t changed. But they’ve changed me.
They say you have to learn the lessons otherwise you will forever be doomed to repeat them.
I plan to learn my lesson, to make change, and I know in my heart that I cannot wait for you all to be a part and to witness all the good that comes from this dark and difficult journey.
