2026, Week 19: The highlight of last week, for me, was getting a chance to get my hands deep inside a beautiful 1961 Gretsch 6192. When it came in it was dusty & looked like it hadn't been touched since the Carter administration.
Structurally it was in excellent condition but the wiring harness, despite looking untouched, was super crusty & I wasn't getting signal. I pulled out all the switchrs & controls & set about cleaning them all.
Once I got everything back in I gave the guitar a full detailing & setup & it's running like it's brand new again.
It's now hanging in the showroom & available for some lucky player to come & be part it's next chapter in life.

2026, Week 18: The highlight of my week (outside of spending the weekend at Hershey Park w/ ) was getting my hands on another gorgeous vintage Gibson L7P.
This particular one, a 1949 model, came in without a pickup or pickguard & we had the great Kent Armstrong build a custom floating pickup to fit beautifully under the shallow tongue.
Another gorgeous example of, what I think, is Gibson's best all-around model ever. It's available for sale here at but, while I don't expect it to, I definitely won't be sad if it sticks around for a while.

2026, Week 14: A handful of instruments across the benches this past week. Most impressive to me was the 1960 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins that came in for evaluation.
I'm going to replace the frets & have it available for sale soon.
Stay tuned if interested.

2026, Week 13: What can I say about last week. Definitely not my favorite week ever but we dust ouselves off & move on.
That being said, there were some highlights to last week. I finished up a project repairing & modifying a gorgeous 1988 Guild Artist Award for which I was paid in barter & was able to finally land my all-time favorite amplifier. While it's not an original 1959 Fender Bassman, the new Fender '59 Bassman LTD is a faithful reproduction of the original tone monster.
A couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to do some "emergency" electronics work for Mr. Orlando Wright, bassist for Buddy Guy, which earned me a couple of free tickets to the show.
While the concert was epic, the thing that held my attention all night were the pair of Bassman LTDs that Buddy Guy was playing through. No effects, just volume & power filling up the Basie.
Finally, after years of lusting after one & "making due" with an army of other amplifiers through the years, I have one of my own to play way too loud in a room way to small for it.
Please see the opening of "Back to the Future" for reference.

2026, Week 12: Builds are coming along nicely. I'm busting my butt working to finish up some builds that have been sitting for years & some that were just recently started. Almost all have customers waiting for them so it's definitely a task that needs to be moved to the front of the list.
That being said, repairs are what pays the mortgage so...
Here's to another week of repairs & sales across the bench. Please feel free to call or message me anytime if I can help in any way.
Enjoy.

2026, Week 11: I find it ridiculous that we're basically through March already, but I'm glad that the winter is officially over.
In between repairs, I've been able to dust off the power tools & get back into building a handful of instruments that I should have ready before next year.
Otherwise, last week was another pretty normal week in regards to benchwork. The usual late winter parade of crack repairs & setups.
Anyway, here are the pictures of all the completed repairs & sales from last week.
Enjoy.

Week 5 of 2026:
A relatively light week for completed repairs & sales. I spent most of the week focusing on taking pictures of the hundreds of guitars that I have in stock at which are not listed on the website.
This week should be more of the same.
Stay tuned for some beautiful photos of some amazing instruments.
