Good afternoon and Happy New Year all! Hope everyone is being safe and wearing a mask! We are in the process of hiring 5 new associates to help speed things up, and are currently looking for 1 more person that has a steady hand and a great attention to detail. During our restructuring, we have changed our shipping process and our entire order and production processes to speed up deliveries by at least 60%. Currently we have fallen behind our delivery goals and many of them have been caused by massive delays with shippers. USPS was a major problem for us and is no longer our default shipper.
We ask anyone who has not gotten a delivery yet to please be patient. We currently have 3 outstanding orders as we are finally back on a schedule. New delivery schedules will be sent to customers over the next 24 hours. Thank you for your patience as we ramp up staff. As many may know, we had been reduced down to just the owner, and one part time detailer for the last 10 months, which has caused a major strain on on operations, production, and customer response times. The new staff and re-hires will be in place this weekend and the full staff will begin working with us on Monday. Pick-up and delivery within New York City has resumed with restrictions, and an appointment MUST be made prior to any visits to the shop, as only 1 customer at a time is allowed for the time being. We also have been delayed over the last week due to a COVID family emergency, as well as moving from a Sole Proprietorship to a New York State s-Corporation. As of December 28th, the new business has been officially formed and full operations will begin on January 18, 2021.
We are very excited to be able to expand solely to raise the bar and provide our customers with better quality, and more timely deliveries. By upgrading to Corporation status, we are better positioned to manage the massive growth we have seen over the last 24 months. We have upgraded our rewards and compensation plans which are now going to be retroactive! So if you have ever received a late delivery, no matter the length, you will be eligible for compensation. This is our way of giving back and saying thank you for all the patience and support over the last 23 years, and especially over the last 2 years as we have been met with many challenges that we were not prepared for.
Over the next 72 hours we will complete a full operations and customer audit, in which we will contact every single customer we have ever had, current and past. We also have quite a few comments, requests and DM's to respond to as well. Our new business hours, terms, conditions, and rewards program will all be updated and put in to place this coming Monday as well.
