Nineteen years ago, my mother carried a recipe and a memory out of Venezuela. Not a business plan. Not a brand. A way of making things she learned from her grandmother, that her grandmother learned before her.
What you bought was never just soap. You bought into the idea that the way something is made still matters. That a pair of hands in Brooklyn, following knowledge that traveled across generations and across a continent, can produce something a factory cannot.
We did not build this alone. Every order, every review, every person who handed one of our products to someone they loved and said try this, that is the staircase we are standing on today.
Mom, thank you for carrying the knowledge across the ocean. I would not know what I was building without you.
To everyone who has been with us, thank you. Nineteen years is yours as much as it is ours.
With love,
David and Marianella
