There are a million objects out there. We all have many. The world seems to be changing its paradigm. People are working harder to own less, experience more, take less from the world.

People are trusting the cycles that bring abundance. In the down time, we’re spending more time with those who we love.

Thank you for sticking with me here. This journey is an artistic one for me. I hope to rework and redefine turquoise jewelry to myself and others.

To do that it takes many steps. Many explorations. Each piece is a step forward to where we can go in the Southwestern Style.
+
I grew up here in New Mexico. My family worked mines and crops for over 300 years in Nambé.
+
Southwestern Jewelry and lifestyle have always been a part of my family until the 50’s when my family started moving to Los Alamos to work in the national laboratory.
+
In that transition, the Spanish has been lost. The horse and tractor culture was lost. We have lost a lot of where we came from and that is self sufficiency.
+
While I am there myself, I’m working to grow that back with my family. We live in Taos, we hunt, fish and farm while raising a family and making rings for a living.
+
Stick with me here and I can gather some more New Mexico history as my family knew it. Until I have the words, I have rings.

The vibrancy of the Rio Grande is special. It does not have the blatant “in your face” expression of color.

The colors are more subtle as if to pay homage to the greatness of the river.
+
If you are lucky, you will catch these colors in full effect on a drizzling day, or shortly after the winter has subsided.

The air will be so fresh, that you will swear your ancestors gave that breath as a gift of life.

Sometimes we need a reminder to create the opportunity for ourselves to collect some grit.

It takes time and a focus of the future we want to live. It also takes putting one foot in front of the other down a path that leads to our own personal heaven.
