The thousands of unique signed photographs, letters, documents, musical manuscripts and scores available for sale are housed in spacious offices in midtown New York City, which includes a reference library containing over 900 volumes for researching the content of the manuscripts as well as their authenticity and value. In addition to publishing more than 40 catalogues, in recent years the company has exhibited at the Leipzig Book Fair, the New York International Antiquarian Fine Art Fair, PADA’s West Coast Show in Santa Monica, PADA’s Mid-West Show in Chicago, and PADA’s New York Autograph Show. Mr. Lowenherz is a member of the Universal Autograph Collector’s Club, the Manuscript Society, the Grolier Club, a Fellow of New York’s famous Pierpont-Morgan Library, and co-founder, first president, and current Treasurer of PADA (Professional Autograph Dealer’s Association). In addition to buying and selling, Mr. Lowenherz also authenticates and appraises letters and manuscripts. Appraisals have been performed in the past for The New York Times, Carnegie Hall, the songwriter Paul Simon, the Irving Berlin and George Gershwin estates, and the estate of Leonard Bernstein and his business affiliation, Amberson, Inc. In 2004 was a panelist at the Appraisers Association of America’s National Conference speaking on “The Dealer as Appraiser.”
