Robert Wun was by far the stand out designer from the 2026 Met Gala: Fashion Is Art 🖤 The London based designer from Hong Kong was the first designer of Hong Kong descent to showcase a collection at Paris Haute Couture for SS23, and has since become synonymous with his intricate designs that play with ideas of life, death, and transforming the body. At the Met Gala he leaned into the relationship between fashion and the body (the theme of the exhibition Costume Art) to create 8 distinct looks for his guests:

In a world be overtaken by tech & billionaires, Janelle Monet wears Christian Siriano to the Met Gala and shows us a way we can fight back 🖤 Am I reaching or do ya’ll see me? This look made me feel quite optimistic of the future and as we scroll through the doom and gloom, a look like this made of reclaimed e-waste is saying a lot about our society & our planet ♻️

The Met Gala is a fundraiser for the Costume section of the Met museum, but it’s also a massive platform to tell stories through fashion. And when the dress code is Fashion is Art, I’d say Christian & Janelle rose to the occasion 🌱
