Water lilies are now in bloom at Harold's Plants! Hardy lilies, tropical lilies, and even the exotic night blooming lilies, all are ready for you to take home to your pond. The night blooming lilies come in white, pink and red, and they open at 8 pm and stay open until 10 am the next morning. If you have room for both a day bloomer and a night bloomer, you will have flowers open 24 hours a day! Harold's Plants and Aquatics, 1135 Press St., NOLA

April is the beginning of the water lily season! All these lilies are in bloom today, at Harold's Plants, 1135 Press Street, NOLA. Let your fellow pond owners know that they can get water lilies for their ponds right now! Night blooming lilies are also available.

American Aquatic Gardens has closed, but we made sure all our customers can still get their water lilies this spring. Our tropical lilies are now at Harold's Nursery, and their well trained staff can help you select the right varieties for your pond. NIGHT RUNNERS

We step into the fragrant dark
Hidden jasmine, starless night
Run Esplanade to the park
Not a single soul in sight

Church bells spill the morning prayer
Falling on the empty street.
Sharing space in heavy air,
Quiet plodding of our feet

Still ahead, the bridge at Moss
Bayou black, too dark to see
Pushing, panting, sprint across
To the place we want to be

Glowing sculpture in the park
Helps our feet feel light,
Guides us to our halfway mark
Safe space in the night.

Daybreak hazards things forbidden,
Choices few and stark.
We live our lives half hidden,
Running in the dark.

American Aquatic Gardens is pleased to congratulate Harold's Nursery, for doing a wonderful job in offering water lilies to our former customers. Harold's now has a complete selection of both tropical and hardy water lilies, and the night bloomers will arrive on April 15. Best of all, you can maintain your social distancing at this spacious nursery, while finding all the plants you might want for your pond or garden. Yes, it is true! After thirty wonderful years, we have retired and closed American Aquatic Gardens. We have been training the staff at Harold's Plants (one mile from us!) and they already have over 100 hardy water lilies in stock, which will be blooming soon, especially the beautiful yellow Mangkala Ubol. Tropical lilies will be available, too, at the end of March. Thank you all for your many kindnesses and wonderful memories.
