Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, is more than simply putting flowers in a container. It is a disciplined art form in which the arrangement is a living thing where nature and humanity are brought together. This vase, one of my newest pieces, is a perfect vessel for this art. Beautiful Rainbow Poplar with a Calcite inlay, it measures more than 20 inches across and a mere 3 inches tall. Please let me know what you think or if you’re interested in purchasing.

Funky Tucks will be taking part in this weekend’s Palmer Park Art Market. I have a booth at the Market and I hope to see some of y’all out there. I am a woodturner and my booth is in the shade just up from Sycamore Street on the Carrollton sidewalk. Only about 3-4 booths from where the float will be parked. I’m offering 10% off for all Tucks members on Saturday. Here’s a picture of my booth.

Hope to see a bunch out there on Saturday!
