I have been in the jewelry business for a while now and I've had the chance to make so many special and sentimental pieces, but this one takes the cake. I made this Italian horn for my nephew Luciano when he was born a year ago today. I melted a few 14k gold earrings that used to belong to my grandmother and used the gold to make this piece. My grandmother passed away in December 2020, a few months before he was born. It breaks my heart to know that they didn't get to meet each other in the physical world and I wanted him to have a piece of her that he can cherish for a lifetime. I miss my grandma everyday but she continues to inspire and motivate me everyday and I hope he will harvest that energy as well.
