Let’s talk Mickey ears!

I have had a BLAST making these! I’m not currently taking a lot of new orders right now until August, but I am going to be making some more ears to list on the website until then. I’ve got ideas for Marie (Aristocats), Toy Story, Sully, Sorcerer Mickey, Te Fiti, and more! Plus I am going to be pulling out Halloween fabric for Mickey’s Not So Scary! 🎃

Let me get you fixed up for your next trip!

These two girls. 😭🤍

I’ve had many students during my years at PNG, but these two will always have a special place in my heart!
Desi (right) and Rylee are two of my former PNG twirlers that served on my color guard.
Desi graduated a few years ago and has been at TAMU perusing her degree to later become an oncologist (she’s a cancer survivor herself!).
A month or so ago, she asked me if I could create a “split spirit canvas” for Rylee, another one of my twirlers who just graduated. Of course I couldn’t say no!
Rylee will be attending Blinn for a year and then transferring to TAMU, so we had to include both! She loved it.
Rylee - I’m not sure what I’m going to do without you in the fall! 😭 You were always such a positive light when I needed it and we’re so encouraging to your fellow teammates and band members.
I wish you the best of luck in everything you do!! I can’t wait to see it unfold. 🤍

I debated on posting this because unfortunately, I haven’t had the best track record with holding jobs in the last decade.
But, after a month, I quit the part time job I was actually really looking forward to starting. The night before I started, I prayed if this really was the right season for me to start a job after being a stay at home mom for five years. I felt at peace, but told myself I would give it a month and if I felt it wasn’t the right time, I would quit.

Fortunately though, the owners are my neighbors and are very family oriented, so they absolutely understood when I broke down and told them that I just didn’t think this was the right season to start getting out in the workforce again.

Right now, my family is my priority and that’s OKAY.

So, I’m back to being a full-time mama while running my little business from home.
Here’s what to expect if you want to order anything from me in the next couple of months ⬇️

June is extremely busy. 🫠 In good ways, of course!
July is also a busy one so with that being said, until mid-August, I will be taking orders on a case-by-case basis. If you need something between now and August, I’ll have to figure out if I can do it based on time and project. If you need something in September and beyond, feel free to message me!

During those months, I’ll still have jewelry set up in Serenity and Co in Lumberton and will be adding new products on my website soon! I’m even thinking about putting my things back at Bella Ink/Krave Energy in Groves for my Mid County people!

Y’ALL 😭

The whole time I was making my grad cap post, I knew something was off and I couldn’t put my finger on it.
Turns out, I forgot one. 🫢
Soooo Reina gets her own post!

I had gotten her cap completed back in March, so I think because it was done way earlier than the others, I completely forgot about it.
I always enjoy when I get to paint a cap and really loved getting this done! Reina is currently interning at the State Capitol in the governor’s office. Congratulations, Reina, and good luck with all of your endeavors! 🤍

Been a little quiet over here! I started a part-time job a few weeks ago and that mixed with a kiddo out of school now has called for some busy days of working and keeping her occupied. 😆

Wanted to post these sooner but I guess it’s only fitting they got posted today since two of them will be walking across the stage tonight at PNG’s graduation! 🎓

Honestly some times I forget I’ve got social media for my business page and just disappear for a few weeks. 😅
I do need to get better about it so if anyone wants to help me be accountable I would not mind it. 😂

However, I have been pretty busy lately! My friend, Rae, opened another business! She opened Krave Energy inside of for all of your loaded tea, coffee, and overall caffeine needs. ☕️🥤

Last fall I painted her windows for Bella Ink, so she had me come back to add the new business to her windows, plus paint the Krave logo, write out her menus, and add some other fun things to spice up the area. 🩷✨

In the meantime, I’ll be completing grad caps for the season (will post all of those soon!).

I love having the opportunity to paint windows for local businesses.🤪 I’m so thankful to my friends for letting me spruce up their spaces. It’s definitely trial and error on what products to use and methods to try to get certain looks, but it’s been fun learning along the way! 🎨

Hi, I’m Lauren and I’m here to bring you pretty things on this first day of March and to get your mind off the heaviness that you might be feeling right now. 🌸🌼🌷

My current crafty hyper fixations are making bag charms and scarves, painting thrifted bags and wallets, and making Mickey ears for trips to the happiest place on Earth. 🤍

Things going on in the world can be heavy roght now, so this is just a reminder that it’s okay if you need to find something to take your mind off of it.
For me, thats getting in my office with music playing and creating. Apart from making memories with my little family, it’s what I love to do. Getting out a paintbrush and figuring out what color palette I’m working with that day. Revving up my sewing machine and matching fabric patterns to create something new.

Whatever makes your soul happy, do it. ✨
