On July 8th and 9th, I have the absolute joy of welcoming the lovely and wildly talented and for a one-of-a-kind workshop at my beloved friend magical flower farm.
When Melindaโs garden is in full bloom, it feels otherworldly. You can feel the love, care, and energy she pours into every corner of it. There has never been an event quite like this on her property, which makes it feel like such a rare and special treat.
Ariella is also this yearโs featured designer for on August 7th, and the event sold out in 15 minutes. A true testament to how ready this island is to properly welcome her. Ariella is a published author, a Master florist, and a wonderful teacher.
Leslie joins us from California to share more than 30 years of expertise in creating, developing, and producing stories. She had a hand in producing all four of Ariellaโs books, as well as โThe Art of Wearable Flowersโ by my dear friend , โA Year in Flowersโ by , and โFlower House Mexicoโ by .
She also played a meaningful role in the earliest conceptual stages of my forthcoming book, *Flower Therapy*, bringing her editorial eye and insight to what would later become the official proposal, which was purchased by Timber Press.
This workshop is something different. I designed it to blend flowers, storytelling, and the psychology of flowers, a concept I began developing during COVID and one that has continued to shape so much of my work. You don't need to be a florist or a writer to join.
Weโll gather in the garden, create with Melinda's local blooms, learn from the best in their respective fields, and explore how beauty, memory, and emotion live inside both lived and written experience. Itโs intimate, thoughtful, and unlike anything I've hosted before.
