BIG NEWS! Howdy! What's up? We haven't posted in a while. Sometimes happens with startups. Our guys have been busy behind the scenes, designing and prototyping. What's the big news? We sent a set of Hevi-Tone prototypes out to Colorado a while back for some testing thanks to some networking done by our other company, Guetersloh Electric. Hey! It's been a while since we've been on here. We recently completed an order for a good friend of ours, and managed in this melee we call life to record it. Here we made one of a set of Humbucker sized P90's. Stay tuned as on our next episode, we tackle a rare build- the "stacked-single" humbucker.

One thing we're very proud of here at Hevi-Tone is that from production to assembly and even the custom packaging and materials for the tiny details, it is all 100%made here in the USA! 🇺🇸

Each pick-up is hand wound, every guitar body is made in our workshop, all the stats are laser engraved in our home, and everything is assembled by hand here in Southern Illinois!

Every item we make is personally tested to ensure that both the quality and sound are perfect. Nothing leaves until it's something I know I would personally play on the stage myself.

Hevi- Tone.....Who are we? And why are we here?

Hevi-Tone was started in the small Illinois town of Murphysboro. The founders, John & Brian, came together with their great love of music from a multitude backgrounds when they started an electrical contracting business.
John came from a college & musician background while also leading a hillbilly lifestyle, while Brian viewed music from a variety of styles firsthand through his travels with the US military. After work they started using their down time to build guitars and soon began to question, "How much can we make, rather than buy?"

Not long after, they found themselves with some homemade guitar bodies, a pile of pickup kits, a CNC router, and several rolls of wire.

Almost immediately, the boundaries and rules for pickup making were being questioned and new sounds were being made with classic materials.

Thus, Hevi-Tone was born 🎸

Today, we are able to produce custom pickups, humbuckers, single coils, as well as unique, one of a kind guitars.
