A little small-business reality from Main Street: I designed a new A-frame sign to match my recently approved hanging sign and create a cohesive storefront. The town/community response was incredibly positive, but I was notified that the A-frame does not meet current historic ordinance guidelines.

Of course I’ll comply, but I do hope there’s room for thoughtful conversation around how small businesses can modernize and present themselves beautifully while still respecting the character of Mullica Hill.

Business owners invest a lot into creating spaces that bring people into town, and I’d love to see policies that make room for both preservation AND progress.

In the meantime, the ugly wooden sign is back out 😂. I’m grateful for everyone who has supported Organic Soak and cheered on our handmade shop ❤️

I didn’t start Organic Soak to sell soap.

I started it because I couldn’t find products that felt beautiful, effective, and aligned with what I wanted for my skin.

Now, in midlife, I’m realizing something:

Our skin changes.
Our hormones change.
What we need changes.

So Organic Soak is evolving, too.

Not anti-aging.
