It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Gary Tippy. It's hard to put into words what he meant to our Greenway family.
For years, Gary greeted folks at the Parts Counter in Blytheville with the kind of warmth you don't forget. He wasn't just selling parts: He was talking crops, trading stories about the levee, and swapping notes on where the deer had been spotted that week. If it was green and yellow, Gary loved it; and that love came through in everything he did for our customers.
A veteran of the United States Army and a longtime volunteer firefighter (and Fire Chief) for the Etowah Fire Department, Gary spent his life in service to others. He was happiest outdoors - golfing, fishing, hunting quail, or just driving the back roads looking at the crops with his dog Winnie by his side. And nothing lit him up quite like time with his grandkids.
Gary made everyone around him feel like family, and we were lucky to call him one of ours.
Our hearts go out to his wife Teressa, his daughters, his grandchildren, and everyone who loved him. Gary, thank you for everything. You'll be deeply missed.
