I've had this for quite a while. Olympia typewriters are considered some of the best in the world. The SM3 is especially beautiful, and what I love about this one is the worn spot on the cover, where a hand rested while working. If typewriters could only tell their story. This has been cleaned and serviced with a new ribbon. The case is especially cool for the 1950s. Made in West Germany. $149

1956 Olympia SM3 - $149
Olympia SM's were considered the Mercedes Benz of typewriters. Made in West Germany. This one has been serviced and types with a distinctive clack. The SM3 is beautifully engineered, down to the last detail. I’ve often opened one up and marveled at the polished metal finishes throughout. Most typewriter makers didn’t pay such fine attention to detail. I love the worn area on the top from a hand resting on it. If this machine could tell stories...
The case is interesting; modernist inspired, ergonomic, and painted silver. Hewn of heavy plywood, they tend to hold together well. As with most typewriters, the bottom of the case detaches, so that you can type on it.

1965 Sears Citation Typewriter - $50.
It almost looks like it's new off the shelf. White metal and 60s MOD. The only flaw is a broken carriage return arm on the right side, but the one on the left side is perfect. I've been typing letters on this and it's a great machine. I've cleaned and serviced it with a new black ribbon. Comes with the original case.
