The giggles didn’t stop all night.

Miss Tiff brought the magic, the littles were full of energy, and the parents got to have fun together. This is what summer memories are made of.

Heading to Bee Havens Flower Farm from the South? A few tips to get here!

Dutch Hollow Rd south of us is rough right now — think potholes and potholes and potholes. Skip the bumps and take this scenic detour instead:

• Stay on County Rd FF — don’t turn left onto Dutch Hollow Rd
• Turn LEFT onto Towns Rd
• LEFT onto Ringhand Rd at the Y
• LEFT again onto Dutch Hollow Rd

Then cruise about a mile — you’ll spot our Bee Havens Flower Farm sign on your left

An unexpected surprise this season…

I’m out there pulling weeds and Julie goes, “Abbea those aren’t weeds. That’s rudbeckia.”

Picture me standing there holding a handful of black‑eyed susans like a kid who got their hand caught in the cookie jar.

These flowers did terribly last year. I mean absolute divas. Germinating them from seed was like negotiating with toddlers. And now?

Surprise!

Flowers are funny like that — they remind you how you’re not always in control and sometimes the best thing is to just go with it.

And just like that a new tradition begins…

I usually don’t have flowers in my house. Mostly because I’m outside more than not (& busy)

But this summer as long as I have flowers I’m going to make an arrangement. Maybe I’ll keep em or maybe gift em, but either way it’s creative freedom.

I’m going to brag about my husband for a hot minute. This man works 10‑hour days (sometimes more), comes home sweaty from climbing like a monkey in a tree, and plays with the kiddos because that’s the best part of his day.

Tuesday night I got home from the Belleville Farmers Market & we headed off to Menards to load up 160 boards of wood to keep the Glass House project moving.

None of this surprises me. We’ve always been a team. We love doing projects together. I just catch myself smiling because… this is my real life. I get to build it with him - literally some times.

Flipping hell, I am one lucky lady.

PS He even loves me for my terrible happy dance moves! 🤩
