Canvas & Light Studio

Canvas & Light Studio Planning tools for the Christian woman who wants her faith, her family, and her daily life to feel intentionally managed and peaceful. Beautifully illustrated.

Designed to be used, loved, and lived in, on purpose. Canvas & Light Studio is an online planner shop creating thoughtfully designed, artfully illustrated planners for intentional living. Our planners are created to help you organize all areas of life in one place — home, family, finances, faith, goals, routines, and the everyday details that often get scattered across multiple notebooks or system

s. Each planner is intentionally designed with structure and flexibility, offering clear layouts alongside open space to plan in a way that fits your real life. What makes Canvas & Light planners different is the depth. These aren’t just schedule books — they include extensive sections for home management, family information, holidays, budgeting, habits, personal growth, and reflection. Scripture is woven throughout, along with Bible reading trackers and weekly sermon notes, making faith a natural part of daily planning rather than a separate add-on. Canvas & Light Studio is an online-only shop, created by an artist and planner lover who believes planning can be both practical and beautiful. Every page is designed to feel inviting, encouraging, and joyful — a planner you’ll actually want to open every day.

A whole page just for writing a letter to your future self…😍

This is the kind of thing that sounds small until you actually sit down and do it. Where are you now, what are you hoping for, what do you want to remember about this season. It’s all right there waiting for you.

The planner has a page for that. 📝

If nobody has made a dopamine menu for planner people yet, consider this my contribution to society. 💁‍♀️

Every single item on this menu is available to you right now, no wait time, no reservation, no justification needed.

We spend so much time talking about productivity and systems and getting things done that we forget how genuinely satisfying it is to just be a planner person. The feeling of a new pen on a fresh page. Finding the perfect color for something that absolutely did not need color coding. Crossing something off that you already did three hours ago. Setting up your whole week on a Sunday night while something warm is sitting next to you.

None of that is frivolous. It is actually really good for your brain and you are allowed to enjoy every bit of it without feeling like you should be doing something more important.

Order from every section. The kitchen is always open.

Save this for when you need a little reset and tag the planner person in your life who deserves a full course meal today. 👇

Planner personality types and honestly all of us have been every single one of these at some point. 📋

The color coder who has a system so detailed it has its own legend. The sticky note hoarder whose planner is more sticky note than planner at this point. The fresh start every Monday girl who has started fresh approximately 47 times this year and will do it again next week with zero shame. And the one who just writes the grocery list and calls it planning because honestly that counts and we are not going to argue about it.

No wrong answers here. No wrong planners either.

Which one are you? Drop it below and tag the friend who is definitely the sticky note hoarder. 👇

How to write a letter to your future self and why it belongs in your planner.

Start with where you are right now. Not where you want to be. Where you actually are. What you are carrying, what you are hoping for, what you want the version of you at the end of this school year to remember about this moment.

Then write to her like she is a friend. Because she will be.

Here is the thing about planners that people do not talk about enough. Over time they become a scrapbook of your year… a record of what you were thinking…what you were planning…what mattered to you in that season. And a letter to your future self is one of the most meaningful things you can add to that scrapbook.

Flip back to it in June and see how far she came.

The academic planner has a dedicated page for exactly this because planning is not JUST about scheduling your days. It is about becoming the person you are planning toward.

Today is Memorial Day. For our family it is not a holiday. It is another day we remember my brother.

He was killed in action in Afghanistan twelve years ago. We are a Gold Star family. And every year when May rolls around, we feel the weight of what that means all over again.

I do not share this often in this space because this is usually a place for planners and planning and the everyday stuff of life, but the everyday stuff of life is also this. It is grief that does not go away. It is a grave we visit. It is a name we say out loud so he is not forgotten.

He was my brother. He gave everything.

To every Gold Star family reading this today, I see you. This day belongs to you. Your person is not forgotten. Please feel free to share their name here so I can remember them, too.

And to everyone else, thank you for pausing to remember. That pause matters more than you know. ❤️🇺🇸

Planning with purpose isn't about stealing time from your family. It's about showing up fully for them. When you protect space for your faith, carve out time to think clearly, and actually *see* your kids instead of just surviving the day, everyone feels it. Canvas & Light gives you the beautiful, flexible space to steward it all without the guilt. Your days are worth that kind of care.

Save this for the next time you feel like planning is selfish.

📸 Save this! Every home has a shelf, a closet, or a garage full of stuff that needs to go. Mine just happened to be homeschool curriculum.

I used the Focus and Flourish spread in my planner to map out the entire sale before it even happens. Timeline, pricing system, checklist, advertising plan, and even a backup plan for anything that doesn’t sell.

No sticky notes. No scrambling the morning of. No forgetting the change for cash.

This is what planning for your actual life looks like. Not color coded perfection. Just a system that thinks it through for you so you don’t have to.

The Focus and Flourish spread is one of many pages inside A Year Painted with Purpose. Link in profile to see the full planner.

🌸 Ever feel like your planning system isn't keeping up with the seasons of your life? How do you adapt your planning to fit your current rhythm?

✨ It’s not just a planner-it’s your companion through the seasons of life. As each season shifts, so do our priorities and needs. Every year brings a unique rhythm, and that’s okay! Here’s a gentle reminder:

🌼 Spring: It’s the season of growth! Focus on goal-tracking and simplify home routines. Perfect time to use those panel layouts to visualize your blossoming aspirations!

🌞 Summer: Embrace adventure! Designate time for family activities and keep planning relaxed. Think framework layouts for flexibility as you soak up the sun.

🍂 Fall: A season of reflection! Dive deeper into organizing previously unaddressed goals. Layer in detail-column layouts are great for sorting priorities as the leaves change.

❄️ Winter: It’s time to rest and reassess. Scale back on planning details and simplify your systems. Undated formats can give you the freedom to breathe.

🙏 Remember, it’s not about doing more-it’s about doing smarter. Trust that you have the grace and wisdom to craft a planning style that honors where you’re at in life.

One of my favorite pages in the brand new Canvas & Light Studio Academic Planner is the Prayer Wall.

It is exactly what it sounds like. A visual, boxed layout where you write down your prayers, your requests, the things you are trusting God with, and then mark them when He answers.

Because He does answer. And we forget too quickly.

I have never seen a page like this in a planner before and I am so glad we added it. This is what faith-based planning actually looks like in practice.
