⚓ It only seemed right that Semper Suds would eventually set sail with Pirate Ship. ⚓

We are now using Pirate Ship for all of our shipping needs, which means we can provide shipping costs much sooner and, in many cases, at a much lower cost than before.

This new course helps us get our naturally-nautical products shipped out faster, smoother, and more affordably so they can make their way from our dock to your doorstep with less delay and less cost.

Today marks Semper Suds’ 1 year anniversary. ⚓

One year ago, we set sail on a journey that started with a simple idea, a lot of faith, and no real way of knowing where the tides would carry us. Looking back now, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for everything this past year has brought.

Over the last year, Semper Suds officially became an insured LLC, obtained certification as a Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran-Owned Business, and joined the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce. We were also deeply honored to be featured on Mission Roll Call highlighting the story and mission behind Semper Suds.

What started with handcrafted soap steadily expanded into new waters. To date, we have made and sold more than 1,000 bars of naturally nautical soap while growing our product line to include moisturizing balms, lip balms, beard oil, beard soap and balm, body and pillow sprays, dish soap, and even a couple of K9 products. Watching these products find their way into homes across the country has been both humbling and rewarding.

This past year also brought opportunities we never expected. Semper Suds has had the privilege of dropping anchor in five different locations, including a salon, stores, and a yoga studio, and we are truly grateful to each of these places for believing in us and supporting a small veteran-owned business. We were also honored to sponsor the Fisher House Wisconsin Golf Tournament beer cart and be included in their player gift bags.

Giving back has always been part of our course. Over the last year, we donated four gift baskets to veteran and first responder nonprofit events, and we are proud to begin our 10% give-back program, with our first $100 donation going to Fisher House Wisconsin 🇺🇸

Like any small business, there were plenty of lessons learned along the way. We finally figured out Pirate Ship, survived filing our 2025 taxes, and continued learning the ropes of building a business from the keel up.

Most importantly, Semper Suds has been built on faith, prayer, and trusting God to guide the helm, even during uncertain waters. We feel incredibly blessed for every opportunity, every customer, every conversation, and every person who has supported us throughout this journey.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our first year at sea. Your support has meant more than words can express.

Yesterday was a great day celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Fisher House Wisconsin 🇺🇸

We’re always grateful to be part of something that supports our veterans and their families in such a meaningful way. It’s a reminder of just how strong this community really is.

We also had the chance to hand off our gift basket to Sloppy Hog BBQ LLC for their upcoming Smoking for Paws event 🐾

Honored to support causes that give back to both veterans and the dogs who serve alongside them.

It’s nonprofit support season, and we’re proud to kick it off the right way.

Our first basket of 2026 is ready for the Smokin’ For Paws event, where proceeds go directly toward providing a service dog for a military veteran or first responder in need.

This one hits home for us. We have a deep love for our veterans, our first responders, and the dogs that stand beside them. There’s something powerful about that bond… loyalty, protection, and unwavering support.

Being able to play even a small part in helping place a service dog with someone who has served others is an honor.

If you’re attending, keep an eye out for our basket. If not, we’ll be showing up all season long to support causes that matter.
