When you purchase from independent small businesses, the vast majority of your money stays in the immediate community. It trickles down from local business owners, to local suppliers, to local non-profits, to local schools, etc.

Every time you make a purchase from an online superstore, all of your money is leaving the community. So, when you can find the same or similar products locally, please let this be a factor in your buying decisions.

For many small business owners, holiday sales will make or break their business. If you want to stand with small businesses, dedicate the rest of your year to shopping from local independent businesses rather than larger businesses.

Where is the damn stimulus for Main Street? Small businesses are shutting down through no fault of their own. Many are on the brink right now. Amazon grows and the stock market grows while small businesses are dying.
