Well… it’s not really that hard, hence Dad started at the age of 15 to save money. Equipment, gadgets, and Wax have improved over the years but the process is still the same.

Bumpy, Chunky, Windy, and Cold…. Icing down the knees after an amazing opening day while trying to convince myself I can grab a few runs in tomorrow morning before church.

If you wanna go play on the “packed powder” as well, I suggest you drop your planks off for a little sharpening.

Tonight I have thoughts of Buddy the Elf… yea, you know him. The main character of “Elf”! Yea that guy….

Buddy: Santa is coming, Santa is coming!!!!!
Joe: Snow is coming, Snow is coming!!!
Mike: Dad where are you?
Mom: Dinner is ready…
Nat: Yea, Dad is on Amazon ordering wax.
Mike: Who orders wax during 🐿 season?
Mom: Dinner!
Joe: Chill out team… Snow is Coming, The Goose is getting Fat!!!!

The point? Squirrel season is actually a thing, deer season is actually a thing, and late season perch fry’s are actually a thing. And in VT snow flies during all of them.

Get us your skis earlier rather than later! This way you can cut into that New England ice when you are done doing whatever you have on tap this fall.

Coldest Memorial Day weekend “evah”… might as well be snowing! If it’s not sunny and 75, it should be sunny and 35. Anything in the middle is a total waste.

Weather gets a bit funky this time of year - time for a quick wax and sharpen. We have plenty of all season all weather wax and the warm weather stuff keeps rolling in.

It’s School Vacation but we still have room for a few more sets of skis or boards.

We put the iron and files away today and the kids got to ski with their long lost cousins. Just a few years ago we needed to hold them on the chair, now they ride alone.

PSA: Stowe does not allow grilling in their parking lots. Parking lot attendant was less than impressed, but those burgers were amazing.

While she's not a "Native" Vermonter - she is more native than our Dad... The weather forecast let us down a tad but our girl Mikaela gives us hope and always brings light into our day. We are always telling Nat that girls can ski and climb better than boys - Shiffrin proves it!
