A perfect Mother's Day ❤️

Biscuits and gravy all from scratch from my husband.
Riding with my daughter.
Soccer with my son (they won 7:1!)

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine my daughter would be sitting atop her freshly turned 4 year old c**t. Filming while I was training my own 3 year old c**t.

There was absolutely no where else in this world I wanted to be today than living in these moments.

Thank you Lord for the beautiful day and my beautiful family🙏

Tay and Rooster have been working so hard over the past few weeks. Today was, "look mom- no hands" figure eights in the round pen. ;)

We are enjoying watching them prep & get to know one another before their first show. This season will be full of learning, going slow, keeping runs clean... & just having fun!

Next year though... 🏁 🏇

Back on my one of my fave geldings! There’s nothing quite like getting back on a horse you trained awhile back. The feeling of a horse just melting into your cues and picking up right where we left off… so rewarding 🤩

Ps, he’s for sale and I would LOVE if he went to someone that I could keep tabs with!

This is your Spring time reminder...
Let your pasture grass grow!

Longer grasses = less sugar for your equine friends.

The only reasons we cut our grass is to keep weeds from seeding out & to help any area's that may need to grow out (instead of UP). And even then, we cut them on the high side.

Winds of Magnolia (Baby Ace) had his first full body bath & clip today. He turned out beautiful!

The sunset was so pretty Taylor thought it was a perfect opportunity for some shots of him 📸

We welcomed this guy home last weekend!

Meet Long Legged Streaker
Barn name: Rooster 🐓
He is a coming 4 year old by A Streak of Rooster x MS Nu Bar

We're incredibly thankful to friends who introduced us to his owners!

Tay has been riding him almost every day since he came home. She can't get enough of his sweet personality paired with his want to please under saddle.

We are looking forward to him helping her finish her last season of Middle School Equestrian Team and jumping right into High School later this summer!

Saying lots of prayers for fun and safety this season 🙏
Parents or amateur adult riders- Be on the lookout out 👀

With Rooster joining our barn, we sadly (VERY sadly!) have to find new people for one of our best youth/adult amateur horses. His ad will be coming in the next week or two. This ad will be for our just turned 5 year old, Thoroughbred, Jackson! Aka- Baby Jack for those who know him. Jack has been toting around our green son the last few seasons on the trail as well as stepped up into the arena for our more seasoned riders!

Second ride completed. ✔️
I didn't plan to ride today but am glad I did!

I was so happy when he listened to my leg cue to turn.
Lots of walking. Woeing. Got a cute little gait out of him that I didn't expect 💜

Ended with a small short lope and on a good note.

I have got to get my split reins out! But these barrel reins worked for today.

Hope to have him further along come summer for some fun rides. But we have work to do!
