This is shaping up to be another beautiful one. UNDEREXPOSED is a group photography exhibition that challenges the polished postcard version of Miami. Opening on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 7 - 11 pm, at El Fresco in Little Havana, the show invites viewers to look beyond the surface and into the layered, often underrepresented identities that shape the city.
Featuring local and visiting photographers, UNDEREXPOSED showcases urban scenes, environmental portraits, object-based imagery, and personal narratives—all presented in flat, frame-ready formats. The show aims to reframe how we see Miami by offering raw, honest, and sometimes unexpected perspectives.
The opening night will also include:
A guided drawing session hosted by Art Lab in the courtyard as part of El Fresco’s ongoing Art Club series
A pop-up photo and audio capture station by Observe Capture Destroy (OCD) x , documenting audience reflections
Live vinyl DJs spinning all night in El Fresco’s open-air courtyard Pop Up by
Historical Miami photography slideshow in the courtyard by
This is more than a show—it’s a community gathering, a creative investigation, and an invitation to see Miami with new eyes.
