The Good Wall The Good Wall is an outdoor gallery of murals located at the Goodwill store at 982 SW 8th St. Art Should be finished by 2 weeks of start time.

If you would like to be a part of the Good Wall here are the guidelines:

1. Artwork should be related to either of the following themes:

The mission of Goodwill, which is to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families. The five values are respect, stewardship, ethics, learning, and innovation. It could also be related to the positive aspects of Little Havana and its cult

ure.

2. Artwork should be family friendly because it is public art and many of the viewers are children.

3. Anything left undone after that period may be subject to change.

4. Email a sketch for approval to [email protected]

5. 80% of the wall should be covered with an image/images

6. No logos, nothing protruding, and keep it original.

Fiorella Podesta was born in Santiago de Chile and has lived in Miami since 2003. Fio has been painting for over 25 years. She began practicing with oils and for the last three years I started with acrylics on my canvas and spray paint on walls.

Her work allows her to examine and understand her unconscious. The images of Fio's dreams or visions become trapped in her mind and when she paint them she feels free. Fio's emotions, hopes and all intangible things are printed in colors and allows her to see another perspective of life. Painting has always been her cure, with it feel transcending time.

Cortney Cates (or See Sea) is a Miami native, multimedia artist. Her conceptual work (no matter the medium) focuses on depicting the dichotomy of life through finding a balance between Order and Chaos. This piece, entitled: "Defenestrate your T.V." is a social commentary on our current political state, our lackadaisical cultural attitude toward humanity and Western idiosyncrasies. This piece serves as an attempt to awaken the viewers' mind by using some of the very same ideas and principles that the commercial/consumerist world uses amongst its consumers, such as: The use of subconscious symbology (geometry) along with the use of bright colors as well as the repetition of patterns that get formed in a structured and orderly format while still remaining haphazardly chaotic and naturally serendipitous. See Sea draws her inspiration from Natural Frequencies, Quantum Physics, Sociological and Psychological studies of Behavior, as well as the intricate details of modern technology and of course, the infinite potential of creation.
