It has been a minute since we have talked about us/ how TYT came about, etc, so I think it’s time to reintroduce ourselves! My name is Julie (bottom), and this is Dina (top).
Some Background:
Dina and I met during our freshman year of high school and we have stuck around each other since then (it’s been over 14 years since our friendship started). 😱
We did lose touch after high school for sometime, but we reconnected when Dina reached out to me when I got engaged and she helped me out with the whole wedding planning process ✊🏼. Since that point, Dina and I continued meeting at the same coffee place, where a lot of planning, venting and strategizing went on.
Then one day, Tinta Y Tierra was born!! Fun fact: Our first business name was “Earth Ink” but it didn’t feel right.
We created Tinta Y Tierra with the intent to continue our creative and design passion(s) through calligraphy. We also wanted to connect our brand to the earth (hence, Tinta Y Tierra.) Dina and I love nature and wanted our biz to reflect this. We hope to inspire other brands and people to love on nature and our environment more. Although we feel like we have not done so enough, we will be working on bringing more eco/ nature friendly content. 🧡
