A Sacred Observation
I sit here outside The Protagonist Cafe with a chess board, ready to take on challengers...my challenge, a chess game..their challenge: breaking free from the mind and connecting with the heart..and a chess game XD
Sometimes I get challengers...and sometimes I don't.
Duality.
But it's all one as well.
I had a different kind of challenger today.
A mother and her young child walk out of the cafe'.
They pass by my table..the child's eyes widen as he sees the chess board.
He wants to play.
His mother tells him he is too young for that sensing his interest.
My inner monologue replies:
Challenge Accepted 🔥
Under the watchful gaze of a curious child and quite literally behind the back of a stressed out mother..
I begin playing myself in chess.
The child is between playing with toy tractors, stressing his mom out, and watching me.
When he begins bugging his mom more...I start playing quicker, and more cartoonishly..I'm making sound effects in public y'all..and this is all while making actual chess moves...not that anyone can see except me.
This gives the mom a short break and my intent was to show him that he can play..
But whoever is reading this..
Who am I fooling?
That kid showed ME how to play.
This kid, without any instruction..got me playing chess with myself whilst making whispered explosion noices.
